Imphal, May 28 2009: The relay hunger strike launched by the Sharmila Kanba Lup (SAKAL) as a campaign for the repeal of the AFSPA, 1958 and to save Sharmila has completed 171 days today.

Around 30 womenfolk of Mongsangei Maning Leikai Meira Paibee have participated in today's relay hunger strike at PDA Complex, Lamphelpat.

Meanwhile, similar campaign launched in Thoubal district has also completed 113 days today.

Today the hunger strike was joined by around 78 members of Kekru Yairi Club, Kekru Development Club and Kekru Women's Development Committee of Yairipok Kekru Mayai Leikai Keithel Macha.
