Imphal, October 24 2009: Imphal east police commandos gunned down a suspected underground activist at Langdum Lamkhai under Irilbung police station tonight at about 7.20 pm.

Police commandos recovered a .32 pistol loaded with four live round in a magazine along with a China make hand grenade.

A CBZ motorcycle also seized from the spot, reports said.

The dead body of unidentified suspect has been retrieved from the spot by the Irilbung police and kept at RIMS morgue for official procedure, the report added.
