Imphal, September 22 2009: Traffic on the Imphal-Moreh section of the NH-39 disturbed this evening when police blocked the road following detection of an IED at Lilong Chajing Lamkhai.

Imphal west police who rushed to the spot when information with regard to the planting of IED was passed by unknown phone call found the IED planted on the eastern side of the road at Lilong Chajing Leikai.

Imphal west police immediately blocked the traffic on both side to prevent any untoward incident and called out personnel of the state police bomb disposal squad and destroyed safely the IED at the same spot at about 7 pm.
