Imphal, February 11, 2010: Soibam Dhanabir (36) of Ningombam who surrendered to police and confessed killing of Ratanmala from Khurai has been sent to jail.

RK Ratanmala (26) of Khurai Chingangbam Leikai was found killed at a paddy field between Hiyangthang and Langthabal Phuramakhong on January 30.Dhanabir surrendered to police the same night.

After that, the murderer was remanded to police custody twice.

Dhanabir was produced before a duty Magistrate at Imphal today who remanded him to judicial custody.

Notably, an irate mob coming from Khurai burnt the house of Dhanabir together with some adjoining houses on January 31.
