Imphal, July 01 2009: Troops of 28AR of 9 Sector under IGAR (S) claimed to have killed one suspected KCP (MC) cadre today during an operation launched in Hiyangthang Takhel area based on specific information, according to a PIB (DW) release.

One 9mm Pistol with magazine, three live rounds, one misfired round of 9mm, seven fired cartridges of AK and one fired cartridge of Point 45 mm Pistol have been recovered from the slain militant.

The dead body, along with the recovered items has been handed over to Wangoi Police station today, the PIB (DW) release added.
