Imphal, December 30 2008: THE JAC against the brutal killing of S Baocha and S Gurung has called indefinite blockade on the NH-150 which would commence from 6 am tomorrow (December 31).The bandh was called against government failure to meet with the demands put forward by the JAC.

With the expiry of the deadline set by the JAC at 4 pm today, the blockade is to be imposed, said a statement of the JAC today.

It may mention that the duo, S Baocha alias Shachuinta (24) and S Gurung alias Jingo (27) were gunned down by the security forces at Leimakhong Mapan under Lamlai police station in what police said in encounter on December 28 last.

The bandh will relax for patients, ritual occasion and students, said the release of the JAC.

It also appealed KCP (MC) to clarify whether the duo were members of the group at the earliest through media.
