Imphal, January 30 2010: Decrying the abortive attempt of KCP-MC (Lanheiba group) to trigger a blast near the gate of 57th Mountain Division at Leimakhong Bazar by fitting an IED on a scooter on January 25, local people of Leimakhong area took out a protest rally this morning.

A number of people belonging to surrounding villages of Leimakhong assembled at Kanto Sabal Ingourok and took out a protest rally till Leimakhong Bazar.

The protesters carried placards and banners which read as "We protest planting of IED at Leimakhong market", "Let Leimakhong remain peaceful", "We want peace" etc.
