Imphal, December 28: A workshop on Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act 1958 was organised by the Lawyers' Group at the conference hall of Manipur Voluntary Health Assn today.

During the workshop papers on Custodial Violence, Torture and Rights to Compensation, AFSPA versus Protection of Human Rights Act, Role of Advocates in Combating AFSPA and Impacts of AFSPA in Manipur were presented by advocates Kh Tarunkumar, Jagjit, Dolen Ph , Samarjit H respectively.
