Imphal, December 27 2008: The relay hunger strike launched in solidarity to Irom Sharmila's demand for complete repeal of the draconian Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act 1958 from all over Manipur is going on.

The relay hunger strike being staged at Porompat PDA complex under the aegis of the Sharmila Kanba Lup has completed 17th day today.

Around 160 women activists of the Kongpal Kongkham Meira Paibi Lup and Mayang Langjing Shemgat Nupi Marup participated in today's relay hunger strike.
