Imphal, January 16 2010: A 40-year old woman was found dead at Japhou Bazar in Chandel district headquarters at around 5 am today.

The deceased woman has been identified as Kh Paithot Lamkang (40) d/o Mokon Lamkang of Mantripantha.

She was found dead inside a drain located near St Peter English School, Japhou Bazar.

Along with registering a U/D case by the Chandel police, the body has been handed over to her family members after post-mortem at RIMS here today.
