Imphal, October 14 2008: Two bullet riddled bodies of a man and a woman were found in a field at Urup Tanakha Pat, 5 kms south-west of Irilbung PS in Imphal East this morning.

The bodies which were lying about 400 metres apart along the embankment of the canal locally known as Hak Kom on the southern side of Arapti Awang Leikai were recovered by local people early in the morning.

The bodies are at RIMS morgue.

According to police source, the slain man is suspected to be a Thoubal district commander of the KCP identified as Angousana alias Nongyai alias Caper alias Udoi of Thoubal Salungpham, while the slain woman as Khundrakpam Leisa of Khangabok Part-II.
