Imphal, February 13, 2010: Villagers of Ukhongsang in Thoubal district were prevented from submitting a memorandum to the cheif minister today.

Villagers represented by the JAC formed in connection with murder of Thangjam Shellungba hailing from the village at Pudunamei today came towards the cheif minister bungalow to submit the memoradum contanining their demands with regard to the recovery of the dead body of the gospel music album seller.

Meanwhile, the JAC in a hurriedly called press conference at Manipur Press Club while strongly condemning the act of preventing them to submit the memorandum warned the authority that at untoward incident arising out of agitation launch by the JAC in pressing to fulfill their demands will be the sole responsibility of the government.
