Imphal, March 12, 2010: Suspected undergrounds hurled a China Make Hand Grenade at the house of pradhan of Lamjaotonba Gram Panchayat at Tera Kongkham Leikai but failed to explode it.

The bomb was found last night about 9 pm at the house of the pradhan Thokchom Sumanta.

Police defused the same and disposed off latter.

Police suspected activists of a group of KCP behind the failed attack.

Decrying the act of the militants, residents of the Tera Kongkham Leikai staged a sit-in protest demanding "stop gun culture and causing panic to the people".
