Imphal, March 09, 2010: It has been confirmed that only AR personnel was killed even as another sustained injuries in yesterday's ambush launched by the PLA.

The 15 AR personnel killed in the gun-battle fought at Warok in Chandel district but under the jurisdiction of Thoubal police last morning has been identified as Joseph Rothang Puia of Thingsul Thangmuan, Aizawl district, Mizoram.

He succumbed to the injuries at Leimakhong military hospital yesterday afternoon.

A bullet that hit him on the buttock exited through.

Following completion of post mortem at RIMS, preparations have been to dispatch the corpse to Mizoram.

The other injured personnel has been identified as ST Mantianlal Haokip.

He sustained bullet injury on the right ear, said a police source.
