Imphal, December 05 2008: The CAO of the Zeliangrong region of the NSCN (IM) Longchaibi Golmei has strongly condemned the killing of Konsam Rishikanta, a junior sub-editor of The Imphal Free Press.

The CAO said that media persons should not be targeted and instead advocated their security for the overall good of society.

Speaking to The Sangai Express the CAO said that the media has been acting as the cementing force to promote unity.

Instead of killing media persons, it would be better that prior warning is given so that the concerned may rectify their mistake if any.

A war cemetery of the NSCN (IM) Zeliangrong region as well as two Churches have been inaugurated.
