Imphal, February 03 2009: Reacting to the news reports published in local dailies of the February 1 edition quoting PRO IGAR(S) press release regarding the slaying of a suspected UG cadre by troops of 29 AR at Leibi village of Chandel district, the Village Authority has clarified that no such incident took place in the village on the said day.

The VA also said that such wrong reports of encounter were also reported in local dailies last year as well.
