Imphal, September 01: Army Chief Gen N C Vij is visiting strife-torn Manipur from tomorrow, the first by a high-level security official since the outbreak of violence in the State.

Vij will make a two-day visit to the North-East, an army official said indicating his itenerary would include Manipur and Nagaland.

Vij�s visit to the State would be followed by a tour by Home Minister Shivraj Patil from Saturday.
