Imphal, June 08 2009: A 58 year old man who went to cook food for a social feast at Thamnapokpi Awang Leikai under Moirang police station has been found dead.

Anoubam Shyamsunder (58) s/o late Kunjabihari of Ngangkhalawai Awang Leikai went to cook food for a social feast yesterday.

He was found dead this morning.

Fatal wounds inflicted by heavy, blunt objects could be observed on the head of the deceased.

The corpse has been handed over to family members after post mortem at RIMS morgue today.

Following registration of a case, Moirang police have initiated investigation into the murder.
