Imphal, March 07 2009: While one UG suspect was slain at Lokchao near the border town of Moreh, a bullet riddled male body was found at Khoupum valley in Tamenglong district.

According to police sources, one UG suspect was killed in a reported encounter with troops of 31 AR at Lokchao at about 1.30 pm yesterday.

One 9 mm pistol, four live rounds, one hand grenade and radio set have been recovered from the slain individual.

Police deposited the corpse at RIMS morgue.

On the other hand, a bullet riddled male body was recovered from a spot along Old Cachar Road near Khoupum Dam under Khoupum police station in Tamenglong district at about 2 pm yesterday.

Fatal bullet marks were observed at two spots on the chest and another on the head of the deceased individual.

The deceased appeared to be about 25 years in age.

The corpse has been deposited at RIMS mortuary .
