Imphal, January 04: Taking a dig at the Nationalist Congress Party, Chief Minister O Ibobi today said, "Forget about the hill districts, the NCP will not be able to send even two representatives from the valley areas to the Assembly." Addressing a one day Congress Workers' Conference at the play ground of Heibong Makhong High Madrassa, the Chief Minister said that the NCP has no organisational set up in the State and questioned what it can do for the State by sending one or two MLAs to the Assembly.

For good effect the Chief Minister, "Let's make sure that the score card of the NCP is nil in the election." On the 4 pc quota reserved for Muslim minority, the Chief Minister said that the reservation policy was announced before the Election Code of Conduct came into force to show how committed the Congress is to better the lot of the Muslim minority.

The public should at least acknowledge the commitment of SPF Government to the welfare of the minority community, he added.

MPCC president Gaikhangam also ridiculed the claim of the regional parties and added that the coming together of regional parties under a common platform will soon fizzle out.

The members of the so called united regional force have started bickering against each other and they are acting without any responsibility, he added.

MPCC vice president Abdul Salam also thanked the people for the large turn out.

The conference was organised by the Wangoi Block Congress Committee today.
