Imphal, July 26 2009: The JAC against the brutal killing of Y Krishnadas has strongly condemned the government's stand for refusing to grant permission for the peaceful public meeting organised yesterday at Kakching by the JAC.

A statement issued by the president of the JAC P Madhusudan categorically asked why the authority refused to grant the permission while also stating on whose instigation the meeting was prohibited.

The JAC also lambasted the Kakching AC MLA for his alleged persistent attitude to extend cooperation.

Meanwhile, the JAC also expressed gratitude to Uyok Chingya Club (UCC) for extending cooperation to the steps taken by the JAC.

It also reiterated its demand to the government for the booking of the culprits involved in the killing of Y Krishnadas and to deliver befitting punishment.
