Imphal, June 21 2009: The PULF has outrightly debunked the claim of KCP's CFR cum DIPR secretary in-charge Tabungba Meitei which attempted to indict PULF for the killing of Krishnadas.

Pointing out the factual errors contained in Tabungba Meitei's press statement about the killing of four PULF cadres, a press release issued by PULF publicity cell secretary Ramjan Alam clarified that the incident took place near Salungpham Water supply tank (not Chingarel) on December 12, 2006, not in November 2005.The amount lost with the slain cadres was Rs 12 lakhs, not Rs 7 lakhs.

Such irresponsible utterances linking PREPAK with the killing although PREPAK has nothing to do with has the potential to create misunderstanding between the two parties as well as against two communities.

Asserting that Th Nando was the mastermind in the killing of Krishnadas, PULF remarked that Tabungba's assumption that PULF took Krishnadas as PREPAK's project officer Thomas defied all logic.

The failure of the Government to publish clear reports of the killing of Krishnadas even after the prime suspects have been apprehended exposed the insincerity of the Government.

Clarifying that PULF was not involved in taking ransom and killing Krishnadas, the outfit assured full cooperation to the movements launched by the JAC and the people against the killing.

It also shared the pain and grief being endured by the bereaved family.

It alleged that two individuals shot dead by a combined force at Yaral Pat on June 20 were not PULF cadres but addicts and followers of Nando, the alleged mastermind behind the murder of Krishnadas.

Md Hasim s/o late Md Babu of Yairipok Bamon Leikai arrested by a combined force on June 17 was not related to PULF in any manner.

He was an innocent civilian, contended the outfit.
