Imphal, April 20 2009: Greeting the people on its 29th anniversary, the KCP (MC) has exhorted all insurgent groups to join hands to save the land from alien rule instead of turning against each other, conveyed a statement issued by the outfit's information and public relation officer Puranthaba.

Reacting to the statement of KCP's deputy chief of army staff Kriti as published on April 18, that KCP (MC) did not attend the congress held with the joint assistance of KYKL, UNLF and PREPAK, the KCP (MC) questioned whether the congress have any significance or whether it brought anything positive to the society.

Asserting that it did not see any meaning to attend such congress, KCP (MC) questioned the credibility of Kriti's statement that the outfit was constituted by security forces.

It further advised that for KCP which cannot stand on its own feet it would be better to merge with another group which can protect them.

For KCP (MC), April 14, 1980 is one date which will always remain in the memory as long the outfit exists.

On the anniversary of the day this year, the KCP (MC) prayed for the departed leaders and comrades.

Declaring that it will not take assistance from any party in unifying with the groups which originated and grew up together if the unification is for liberation of the land, the outfit said that its door is wide open to all groups which worked together or parts of the outfit earlier.

Calling upon all concerned to work sincerely and together leaving aside the mentality of depending on others, the KCP (MC) invited correspondence through its e-mail addresses [email protected] or [email protected].

Asserting that Ministers and MLAs have little concern for the rampant killings being perpetrated by security forces, the outfit called upon people to exercise their franchise keeping in mind the present situation.

It also declared that the outfit would take revenge in case killing of civilians continues.

It disclosed that the outfit was behind placing a bomb at the residence of Dr NR Kom at Taretkhul Langol Laimanai.

It also claimed responsibility for placing bombs at the residence of Aribam Bijoy Sharma of Bamon Leikai as well as at S Kumar hospital, Porompat.

However, the outfit was not involved in the abduction of an inter-State bus driver from Dimapur.

It was the handiwork of some elements masquerading as KCP (MC) and working to malign the outfit's image.
