RPF salutes slain cadres

Imphal, March 19 2010: The banned, Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has offered high level revolutionary salute to two PLA cadres killed by troops of 21 Para Commandos at about 6.30 am of March 17 at a place near New Tolen and Wabaching in Chandel district.

The two slain cadres were MC 194 2nd Lt Nongleiba, real name Moirangthem Ingo Meitei of Khurai Kongpal Ningthoubung Leikai and A-2828 L/Cpl Jack @ Alex, real name Leikhrakpam Probon of Churachandpur Zou Veng.

A press release issued by GM Changjou, Chief, Department of Publicity, RPF informed that 2nd Lt Nongleiba joined the PLA on 11 April of 1998.After completing basic military training, he had served the party in different positions.

The press release stated that he had participated in many activities of the PLA.

He also took part in many battles against the enemy, to name a few, Kwatha battle, Pungdongbam battle, Thamnapokpi battle, Geltui battle, Oksu Misimakhong battle, battles around Maryland on March 8, etc.

He had also taken a major role in Operation Hidden Dragon, Operation Red Sun and the ongoing operation presently, the press release added.

L/Cpl Jack@Alex joined the party on March 19 of 2006.After completing basic military training of PLA, the War Office had allotted him Army No.2828.He had also courageously participated in party activities and many battles, GM Changjou informed.

The RPF and its army PLA share the grief of the family and friendsover the death of the two comerades, GM Changjou said and added that programmes of condolence and paying homage to the two slain cadres had been held at every Unit, Department and Station.
