Kohima, February 16: Satisfied with the people's response towards the candidates of the NCP in the first two phase polls, State unit president of the party, Radhabinod Koijam today said that NCP is likely to pocket 11 to 12 Assembly Constituencies so far.

In the third and final phase, the tally may go up by another two seats, he added.

Speaking to The Sangai Express the former Chief Minister said, �NCP is looking forward to getting 14 to 15 seats out of the 27 ACs in which it is contesting�.

For the third phase election, NCP has fielded candidates in Saikot, Tipaimukh, Thanlon, Henglep in Churachandpur district, he said and added that a NCP candidate is also in the fray in Jiribam AC.

To a query, Koijam said that till date the party has not decided with which political party it would strike up an alliance.

�It is still too early to say anything on the matter,� he said but explained that the NCP is open for alliance with any party which is committed to the welfare of the people.

The former Chief Minister further informed that he along with NCP leader PA Sangma are scheduled to campaign for the party's candidate at Jiribam AC on February 18.
