Imphal, February 12 2009: The outlawed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) today issued what it termed as the "last warning" to the Chief Minister of Manipur saying that unless he immediately stops the personnel of security forces and Manipur police commandos from carrying on "state terrorism" in Manipur, the party will start targeting him and his cabinet colleagues, Congress MLAs and his active workers.

This was informed by Aheiba Angom, Secretary-In-Charge, Department of Publicity and Propaganda, PREPAK through a five page press release made available to the press here today.

Aheiba Angom alleged that the security forces and the Manipur police commandos have been relentlessly killing innocent persons in fake encounters by placing weapons near the dead bodies.

He further challenged the Manipur police commandos to fight them in real encounters, and asked them to stop torturing arrested persons.

The PREPAK asked the police commandos to stop killing human beings, whose lives are invaluable.

It charged that now-a-days people are afraid of carrying even Rs 1,000 in their pocket.

The press release cited at least nine incidents of what it called "fake encounters" which happened between the last week of December, 2008 and February 8 this year, in which "many innocent persons" were killed.

Aheiba Angom further stated that today the cries and wails of mothers, sons and daughters, sisters, brothers and widowed young women filled every nook and The PREPAK appealed to all other insurgent groups to make a joint effort to stop the state terrorism being carried out by the government, or else the indigenous Manipuri people would become extinct from the surface of the earth, and it will become a society of widows.

Therefore, if the Chief Minister does not stop the state terrorism being carried out by the security forces, especially Manipur police commandos before February 20, the party will start attacking the Cabinet Ministers, Congress MLAs and his active workers.

Then the press release went on to give a list of names and addresses of 143 persons, who are supposed to be close to the Chief Minister or his active workers.

All of them hail from Thoubal and Khangabok Assembly Constituencies.

PREPAK warned that it will start attacking anyone of them anywhere and anytime after the deadline.
