Imphal, June 20 2009: The proscribed PULF has denied involvement in the murder of contractor Yengkhom Krishnadas of Kakching Sumak Leikai, who was abducted from his wife's Thangmeiband Khomdram Selungba Leikai and found slain in a Lilong area.

Reacting to a KCP release that speculated hands of the PULF organisation in the killing of the contractor, PULF's senior publicity secretary Md Rauf Khan rubbished the KCP release issued by one Tabungba Meitei is baseless.

Referring to the re-arrest of Th Nando from Sajiwa jail by police as a suspect in the murder case, Rauf Khan pointed out that there is no need for explaining criminal record for which Nando had been imprisoned.

PULF also described as unfortunate the KCP allegedly scheming to create divisions in the multi-ethnic society.

Moreover, it seems attempts are being made to cover up possibility of Nando conniving with some police personnel that resulted in the abduction and subsequent recovery of Y Krishnadas' lifeless body at a secluded place in Lilong area for it is beyond comprehension for anybody that the contractor could have been shifted out from such a highly secure place like Imphal, posed the PULF functionary.

Recounting an incident wherein four PULF cadres assigned arms deal with the KYKL were instead slain in January 2007 by the KYKL at near Salungpham water supply scheme after seizing Rs 12 lakhs possessed by the PULF cadres, Rauf Khan further stated that at juncture there was no animosity between Krishnadas and PREPAK organisation.

Conveying of the PULF sharing solidarity with family members of the murdered contractor, Rauf also called upon the people to contribute their mite in identifying and arresting culprits involved in the murder.
