Imphal, February 09: Contending that some PREPAK cadres deputed to serve demand note to Moirang AC MLA Salam Gopal Singh on February 7 have been kept under detention, the armed outfit has warned the MLA and MPP candidate to release the detained persons as well as hand over the letter heads within February 13 failing which Salam Gopal would be included in the hit list of PREPAK.

The armed organisation also stated that telephone contacts made to the MLA and his PRO were not reciprocated positively.

Maintaining that some civilians deputed to negotiate on the matter had also been confined by the MLA, a statement issued by the outfit�s publicity and propaganda by the MLA, a statement issued by the outfit�s publicity and propaganda secretary Chinglemba Mangang charged the MLA of utilising services of about 8-9 henchmen under the command of two Red Army cadres identified as Chaamba of Bashikhong and Brojen of Keibul.

Attempts were made yesterday evening to attack the MLA�s residence but considering possible civilian casualty the PREPAK cadres refrained from opening fire, said Chinglemba and urged the MLA to avail the opportunity to resolve the matter amicably.

Highlighting that some vested interest posing as PREPAK activists had been creating fear psychosis in Wabagai, Hiyanglam, Sekmaijin, Laphupat Tera, Kumbi, Moirang, Thanga and Lamshang areas, the statement informed that under the command of Chief of Army Staff the Red Army would launch a massive operation to check activities of these disruptive elements.
