Imphal, March 23 2009: Reacting to the reported PIB (DW) statement that one individual was slain in the follow-up action of a combined security force on the next day of the March 18 ambush launched by Red Army cadres at Oinam Mamang Leikai in which one Lieutenant of 12 Maratha Light Infantry was killed, the proscribed PREPAK has clarified that the slain individual identified as Moirengjam Inao (27) s/o Biren of Pourabi Mayai Leikai was not related to the outfit or its Red Army in any manner.

A press release issued by the outfit's department of publicity and propaganda secretary in-charge Aheiba Angom alleged that the security forces' claim of recovery of one AK 47 rifle and 10 live rounds from the slain individual was nothing but a ploy to cover up their act of killing innocent civilian.
