Imphal, January 29: To join the poll campaign, BJP National president Rajnath Singh is arriving on February 2 while its vice president Venkaiah Naidu would follow suit on Feb 6. Confirming the tour programmes of the Saffron party�s leaderships, general secretary (organisation), BJP Mani-pur and Nagaland Avinash Koli informed that after his arrival here on February 2, Rajnath would address four ele-ction meeting at Imphal before his departure the next day.

The party�s National vice president Venkaiah Naidu would arrive at Imphal on February 6 and during his two-day stint he would address election meetings at Saitu, Mayang Imphal and Wangoi, Avinash disclosed.

Meanwhile, party�s National general secretary Thawar-chand Gehlot reportedly arrived at Imphal today.

BJP has so far fielded 13 candidates for the ensuing 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly election slated to be held in three-phases in February.

The party is contemplating fielding another two candidates from the Assembly Constituencies of the hill districts, according to sources.
