Imphal, December 24 2009: In connection with the lynching of two Kuki youths at Nongbrang village on december 22 evening, the Kuki National Front (P) has clarified that the victims were in no way related to the armed organisation.

Terming as unfounded and baseless reports published in the December 23 edition of state dailies, KNF's information and publicity department substantiated its claim of both being innocent students by referring to reports that both were sons of retired JCO & NCO of the Indian Army's Assam Regiment and bonafide students and leaders of the KSO, Shillong.

Informing that the KNF would investigate the fallout of the December 22 incident and the culprits if found, whether it be its cadres or any other elements, will be severely punished accordingly, the statement also appealed to all concerned to refrain from either levelling false allegation or publication of the same as such news item is likely to tarnish image and reputation of the KNF organisation.
