Imphal, June 22 2009: In connection with the killing of contractor Yengkhom Krishnadas, two NSA detainees have been re-arrested by Imphal West District Police from Sajiwa Jail today.

The two NSA detainees arrested after obtaining due permission from Additional CJM have been identified as Laishram Gunamani alias Priyokanta alias Guru (29) of Kongba Laishram Leikai and Ningthoujam Jiten alias Angang alias Chaiba (23) of Keirenphabi Mamang Leikai but staying at Sagolband Moirang Hanuba Leirak, informed a police source.

Notably, the two were detained under NSA after being arrested as PREPAK cadres.

Police had earlier arrested Th Nando of a faction of the KCP from Sajiwa Jail in connection with the same murder case.

Meanwhile, protest demonstration denouncing the killing of Krishnadas continued at Kakching Naohallai ground today.

According to a press release issued by the JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Yengkhom Krishnadas said that around 3000 people participated in today's protest demonstration.

As the shradha ceremony of Krishnadas falls on June 25, the ongoing protest demonstration would continue till June 23 after which it will be suspended for a few days.

The future course of action will be decided in a public meeting.

Saying that the action taken up by the Govt in connection with the killing is not satisfactory to the public, the JAC stated that it would continue with different forms of agitation together with the people and different organisations until and unless the killers are booked and punished.

Taking part in the protest demonstration today, the bereaved wife of Krishnadas conveyed her indebtedness to all the people for their support and cooperation.

She further appealed to the people to go on with the protest movement until the killers are booked, conveyed the release.
