Imphal, March 06, 2010: The proscribed PREPAK has rejected any relation between the party and late Huidrom Bidur s/o Changlaobi of Sekmaijing Mayai Leikai.

Huidrom Bidur was killed in a reported encounter with a combined team of Thoubal district commandos and troops of 21 AR at Hiyanglam Hiranmei in Thoubal district at about 8.30 am of March 2. A press release issued by the outfit's Thoubal district commander Yaipha Nganba further rejected as baseless and fabricated the press statement of the Thoubal SSP which said that Bidur was a PREPAK cadre and that one 9 mm pistol, four live rounds, one point 38 HE grenade, one Chinese hand grenade, 19 empty cases of AK ammunition and one demand letter of PREPAK (VC).

The outfit alleged that the incident was a brief drama of fake encounter.

The SSP statement which mentioned PREPAK (VC) was deliberately done to project the outfit as having factions.

It reiterated that there is no separate group called PREPAK (VC) in the party.

The outfit has snapped all relationship with Huidrom Bidur since around a year back for violating the party's principle and discipline.

Moreover, the items reported to have been recovered from Bidur's possession were not related to the party in any manner, added the outfit.
