Imphal, September 28: Zeliangrong Youth Front while expressing unhappiness over the 24 hour general strike called by the United Committee of Manipur over the Union Govt's insensitive attitude to the problems facing the people of the state on the National Highway said that such agitation have enhanced the burden of the general public and particularly those from the far flung areas of the state.

Any form of Agitation called by any organization should be done after giving prior information to the people so as to avoid misunderstanding and untoward incidents.

The strike affects all specially those from the hill districts who go to Imphal for emergency purposes.

ZYF and ZU however morally support the demand of the UCM for deployment of adequate security along the national highway.

The front also appealed to the UCM to launch the agitation in a peaceful and democratic manner so that the general public does not become victims in future.
