Imphal, May 22 2009: Asserting that Loitongbam Satish alias Tomba who was shot dead at Laikot Ching in a 'fake encounter' after being picked up from near Sajiwa jail by suspected police commandos on May 16 was not a cadre of the RPF/PLA the outfit today said that the utterances of the Chief Minister that he was a PLA cadre are nothing but lies and baseless.

In a statement, the outfit said that the statement of the Chief Minister that Satish was a cadre of the PLA and had undergone training at Bangladesh is nothing but a lie and the public would not be fooled by such false claims.

Dubbing the claim of the Chief Minister as juvenile, the outfit said that the SP of Thoubal too should give a clear proof that Satish alias Tomba was a PLA cadre.

The outfit further said that Pebam Gunindro who was arrested along with Satish is not related with the PLA in any way.

The Chief Minister and his 'gang' cooked up the story, said the statement and added that unlike Ibobi and his men, the RPF/PLA always respect the people.

Moreover whenever any of its cadre is killed, the outfit always pays its respect.

But since Satish was not a member of the outfit, no such tributes have been paid, it added.

Killing innocent people and later dubbing them as UGs has become the culture of Ibobi and his men, said the statement and added that the RPF/PLA do not kill even their arch enemies until and unless there is a clear reason.

At the moment, the State Government is in the process of recruiting many young persons in the security forces.

The gullible will have to pay a huge amount of money to get in and once they get in they will be pre-occupied with how to earn their money back, which in turn makes them to kill innocent people for money.

Recalling the arrest of Kh Megha, the outfit said that he was arrested by police commandos on the charge that he was a KCP (MC) cadre.

However, later the Assam Rifles claimed that he was arrested from Moreh on the charge that he was a PLA cadre.

This instance shows to what length Ibobi and his men will go to harass innocent people, it claimed.

Ibobi and his men have forgotten the lesson learnt from the Kh Megha case, said the outfit.

The RPF/PLA do not want to waste time in blame game but since Gunindro is still in police custody and since Satish was killed in a fake encounter, it feels obliged to make its stand clear, said the statement.

The outfit also said that Tensubam Satjainanda alias Momo alias Barun (33) of Kakwa Nameirakpam Leikai who was arrested from Thangmeiband on May 18 is not related to RPF/PLA.
