Imphal, November 15 2009: KCP-MC (Lamyanba Khuman) has eliminated KLA's deputy chief Thangboi at Waroiching to the west of Leimaram today.

Some unidentified persons shot dead Thangboi near Mahadev temple of Leimaram Waroiching under Nambol police station at about 10 am.

Police have picked up the corpse with multiple bullet marks and deposited at RIMS mortuary.

Meanwhile, a press release issued by the KCP-MC's information and public relations officer Puranthaba claimed responsibility for killing Thangboi.

The outfit asserted that Thangboi was mainly involved in the shoot-out between its cadres and a combined team of 57 Mountain Division troops and cadres of a UG group in the intervening night of October 27 and 28 at a place located in the junction of Senapati and Tamenglong districts.

Thangboi was killed to avenge L/Cpl Aribam Megha alias Sathiba s/o S Shyamgopal of Nongren Mayai Leikai and L/Cpl Rajesh Thapa alias Lamyanba s/o Bin Bahadur of Gamnuam village, Ukhrul district who were killed in the gun-fight with the combined team.

Elements like Thangboi who have been acting as agents of central security forces in the guise of fighting for a particular group are major impediments to the liberation movement and a misleading precedent to future revolutionaries.

The outfit also sought cooperation from all sections of the society in its efforts to eliminate all pseudo revolutionaries.

Observing that many insincere armed cadres have been pursuing their personal interests in the name of the people after giving different meanings to liberation, the outfit noted that the common people have been suffering untold misery because of such pseudo-revolutionaries.

The plight of the people increased manifold when responsible cadres like Thangboi of the KLA fall prey to the ploy of New Delhi's agents.

Claiming that KCP-MC (Lamyanba Khuman) never posed any disturbance to the hill people, the outfit declared that no hill based armed groups should harass people or undertake any activity related to finance in valley areas.

The outfit never gave any financial burden to hill people nor it would ever undertake any activity that would cause disturbance to hill people, it declared.

Any cadre of hill-based UG groups found harassing people or undertaking finance related activities in valley areas would be awarded capital punishment without any warning, it cautioned.

The outfit appealed to the people to stay away from pseudo-revolutionaries and not to give them any kind of assistance.

Noting that Government employees in uniform have been extorting from public in the name of UG groups, the outfit asked people to communicate with the party, if necessary, through [email protected] or [email protected] .
