Imphal, October 15: Various social organizations in Nagaland have expressed regret on the way the UCM-led mass agitations in Imphal have been carried out in protest against the release of NSCN-IM leaders by the State Govt.after they were arrested by Manipur Police.

The South Nagas Union of Nagaland State (SNUNS) has termed the UCM as immature and not reasonable saying that since the peace talk between the Govt of India and the NSCN-IM are going on, it would be beyond human ethics to arrest each other which would go against the spirit of the peace process.

The Tenyimi Central Union has questioned the wisdom of the UCM and AMSU and other social organizations who are involved in the protest against the release of the NSCN- IM leaders.

It expressed its gratitude to the SPF Govt.for safely releasing the IM cadres.

The Zeme Council North East India (ZCNEI) has questioned Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, for his alleged contradictory statement before the media persons that the NSCN-IM leaders were released after consulting the Central Govt.particularly Home Minister LK Advani.

The Zeme Council further questioned what Ibobi intended to do if there were no interventions from the Central Govt or LK Advani.
