Imphal, May 21 2009: The relay hunger strike organized the Sharmila Kanba Lup (SKL) has completed 163 days today.

It could be remembered the relay hunger strike was started on December 10, 2008 last at PDA complex of Porompat in support to the eight years old hunger strike undertaken by Irom Sharmila Chanu against her demand to repeal the brutal act of the Armed Forces Special Power Act 1958 .

Various organizations and associations in the state have been taking part in the hunger strike and in continuation around 80 volunteers of Chingtham Leikai Apunba Nupi Chaokhat Lup observed the hunger strike today.
