Imphal, January 12 2010: An office of the Non-Governmental Organisation at Top Awang Leikai in Imphal east district has been bombed by unidentified miscreants suspected to b undergrounds this evening.

No human casualty reported in the blast.

The bomb was triggered at about 6 pm at the office of the Village Development Organisation (VDO) at Top Awang Leikai under Porompat police station.

The bomb exploded at the front verandas of the office and a pit of around three feet dip was dung at the place by the impact of the bomb.

According to Ayekpam Nilkamal, the caretaker of the office, the bomb might have been hurled from the roadside.

Officials of the NGO could not ascertain the reason behind the triggering of bomb.

No underground group also served money from the office, according to the secretary of the NGO, M Daneshwor.

Meanwhile, the Top Awang Leikai Nup Apunba Lup and Nehru Memorial Club strongly condemned the bomb at the office located at the populated area.
