Imphal, June 02 2009: After observing a two-minute silence condemning over the brutal murder of Professor Md Islamuddin inside the Manipur University Campus by Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) on May 25 last, the students of Lilong Higher Secondary Madrassa 2008-09 has observed a sit in protest blocking half road at Lilong along the National Highway number 39 today.

A press release of the Lilong Higher Secondary Madrassa decried imposition of blame after killing the Professor of MU, Md Islamuddin and demanded punishment to the killers.

Stating that the Professor was innocent and condemning the suppression of truth by arms, the students of the Madrassa expressed that terrorizing the students and teachers of the society will not contribute to the welfare of the society.

The statement asked KYKL whether they have achieved their goal by killing Professor Md Islamuddin and how much teachers are yet to be killed if their goals are achieved by killing them.

All persons claimed responsible for the murder arrested by the state government in relation to the murder should not be released and the case should be handed over to CBI stated the press release of the Madrassa.
