Imphal, May 30 2009: The All Manipur Minorities Forum (AMMF), Kwakta and Surrounding Villages United Club Organization (KASVUCO) and Oriental College Students' Union (OCSU) in separate statements expressed strong condemnation and shock on the killing former Dean of Students Welfare, Manipur University, Professor Md Islamuddin inside the university campus on may 25 last.

AMMF stated that a general body meeting of the forum held today observed a two-minute silent to mark respect to the deceased Professor.

Reacting to KYKL claim on the killing , KASVUCO urged the outfit and others to stop killing teachers without proper investigation and also stop give faults after killing.

The statement also asked to stop gun culture in order to bring quality education in the state.

OCSU stated that the capital punishment given to a professor whose profession is to lead students towards their future for a simple fault is a sign of overpowering upon a weaker person.

OCSU expressed deep condemnation to the state government for hiding of the truth regarding the killer from the public for long time and also stated that OCSU will support all the steps taken up by organizations in finding out and punishing the murderer.
