Imphal, October 24 2009: The proscribed RPF/PLA has condoled the death of private (Army No 3001) Langamba alias Khundongbam Chetankumar s/o Kh Inao and Kh Inaocha Leima of Liwa Maibam Leikai.

A press release issued by the outfit's department of publicity chief GM Changjou said that Langamba sustained injuries in an ambush by some untrained and war-rules-ignorant NSCN (IM) cadres at Bahoram Tangkhul village at about 1.50 pm of October 19 .

Langamba was intercepted on the way by some NSCN (IM) cadres when he was being taken out for treatment and was shot dead.

The RPF strongly condemned such unwarranted conduct of the NSCN (IM).

Langamba joined the RPF on September 20, 2007.He was inducted into 253 Mobile Battalion of the PLA soon after completing basic military training.

He also worked in Auxiliary Command of the PLA.

"I joined the PLA in the hope of regaining sovereignty of Manipur", the outfit quoted Langamba.

He was well discipline and deeply concerned with the welfare of the people and the party.

The outfit has also condoled the death of Konthoujam Henery alias Robertson s/o K Nongyai and K Renu Devi of Leitanpokpi Awang Leikai.

Henery was staying at Khorifaba Training Centre to undergo basic military training as People's Militia.

But he succumbed to an illness there at about 9.10 pm of October 21 .

The outfit also shared the pain and grief being endured by the two bereaved families and their near and dear ones.
