Imphal, July 18: Even as report has come in that a 13 year old boy has been missing since May 24, a rally was staged to protest the recruitment of child soldiers.

The missing kid is identified as Chingakham Momo alias Bilal son of Jayenta of Kyamgei Lairam Wangma.

According to the father, his son was studying at Imphal Public School, Singjamei Waikhom Leikai.

On launching a frantic search for his son, the family members came to know that he was in the custody of the proscribed PREPAK (GS).

The worried father said that the outfit had informed that his son would be handed back after 40 days but till date nothing has materialised even though it is 45 days since he went missing, said Jayenta.

To protest against the recruitment drive of the outfit a dharna was staged by womenfolk at Kyamgei Lairam Wangma who put up placards with the slogan 'Stop Recruiting Child Soldier'.
