Imphal, May 01 2009: Reacting to the news report of suspected Armymen slain by unidentified armed persons at Keibul Lamjao National Park yesterday, PRO Defence Wing has informed that 'our men are all safe and doing well'.

'It is for the people of Manipur to see that the perpetrators of this crime and persons who are genuinely interested in the protection of human rights can see for themselves the brutally tortured bodies which are still lying in the morgue of RIMS,' the PRO said, adding that the villagers of the villages concerned who have abetted the crime should be made accountable.

It is upto to the people to take these errant villagers to task and these devilish and demonic acts should be condemned outrightly by all the right minded people in the society, the PRO further said.
