New Delhi, March 09, 2010: Member of Manipur Human Rights Commission Lt Col (Retd) RK Rajendra has alleged nexus between some of the elected members of Manipur Legislative Assembly, contractors and the police.

Interacting with mediapersons here in connection with recent incident of bullet injuries sustained by the Advocate General N Koteshwar while travelling with two ministers of the SPF Government, RK Rajendra construed that Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh ruling out investigation into the matter is not surprising.

Reacting to the CM's comment the MHRC Member described Ibobi's stance as a reflection of nepotism and rampant corruption that had been embedded deep into State administration that had also become a crucial contributory factor to the cycle of violence being witnessed in Manipur.

Substantiating on the allegation of unholy nexus between the state Government machinery and others, he claimed of the CM's involvement in insurgent groups getting Rs 1.5 crore from the State exchequer in addition to certain contractors enjoying 'akash bill' as a characteristics of the establishment.
