Imphal, June 06 2009: The Police Department has announced cash award of Rs 1 lakh to any person/persons giving information that would lead to arrest of two UNLF cadres accused of involvement in the 'cold blooded' murder of two ANSAL employees.

Reminding that ANSAL employees Md Tomba of Jiribam Islamabad and Shibajur mazumdar of Katanput village, Lakhimpur (Cachar) were killed on June 4 at the inter village canal in between Irengban and Leimaram, a police statement issued by DGP Y Joykumar identified S/S Captain of the UNLF Kumar alias Loya of Keinou Thongkhong and the outfit's S/S sgt Sagolshem Athouba alias Yuremba s/o S Budhi Singh of Wapokpi Chingol Leikai, Sugnu as perpetrators of the criminal act.

Confiding that confidentiality of the source would be maintained, the statement also enlisted SSPs/SPs of Imphal West, East, Bishnupur and Thoubal districts or the DGP to whom any information regarding the accused duo may be provided.
