Imphal, May 23 2009: A man sustained bullet injury when he was shot at by the money lender for refusing to pay back the money he borrowed at Khatnarok village under Irilbung police station even as one who came with him caught the locals and handed over to police.

The incident occurred today at around 12.20 pm at the house of the injured man was idenitifed as Kangabam Biren son of Ibocha of Khatnarok.

He sustained bullet injury at his left calf.

He has been admitted at JN Hospital.

The man who was caught by the village was identified as Takellambam Brojendro (28) son of Tomba of Sandrok Mayai Leikai while the other who triggered the gun and escaped from the sense was identified as Romi alias Romeo son of Rajen of same locality with the former.

Reports said that Romeo shot at the gun to Biren after he refused to pay out the money he borrowed some times back.
