Imphal, January 30 2010: A 15-day campaign on 'From Gandhi to Sharmila' was launched today at the Manipur Press Club under the aegis of Just Peace Foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, Managing Trustee of Just Peace Foundation, Irom Singhajit said, series of events relating to the strike launched by Sharmila will be staged at different places in collaboration with other civil society organisations.

Though no specific event has been planned to take out as a part of the campaign, Manipuri students at Tata Institute of Social Sciences and Jamia Milia Islamia would join the campaign.

A rally will be taken out at Hongkong and Seoul as part of the campaign, Sinhajit said.
