Imphal, June 04 2009: Some unidentified persons coming on a white Maruti Van hurled a bomb and exploded yesterday evening around 6.40 pm at the residence of one Leishungbam Subha alias Subasingh of Seijang Mayai Leikai under the Lamlai Police Station.

Even though, there were no casualty reports, womenfolk of staged a sit in protest at at Seijang High School ground today from 10 am till 4 pm condemning the treacherous act of the miscreants.

Meanwhile, the villagers reported that the police of the area turned up very late after the incident today morning at 7 am despite the villagers reported them about the incident just after its occurrence.

According to the villagers Subasingh is a hard working social worker and he had been providing jobs to many people by working in a sericulture farm for more than 10 years.

The villagers said that he had been out of his house for the past one month to Calcutta for treatment of his heart disease.
