Imphal, October 28, 2009: The identity of the PLA cadre killed in gun clash with the combined force at the forest in Phailen village yesterday has been established as Nongmaithem Naocha alias Hemba (25) son of N Mangi of Phumlou Mamang Leikai.

He had joined the outfit some 15 year back, around two years later his elder brother named Shyamchand was killed by the Assam Rifles at Nambol.

After postmortem at Lilong mortuary, the dead body has been taken by the family today.

On the other hand, the identity of the man found dead at the Humanist Block of the MU yesterday evening was also established today.

He has been identified as Thongam Kullajit (30) son of Yaiskul of Thongju Pheijaleitong part-I.According to the family, he went out from home in the evening with a bicycle.

The dead body of the youth killed by the father in avenge to her daughter�s murder at Uyumpok under Lamlai police station in Imphal east yesterday evening were also taken for performing last rites today.
